Founder & President Many Hands and Many Hearts was born from Cynthia Brunz's desire to turn her passion for quilting into a lasting source of comfort for others. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she took time to reflect on what truly mattered and how she could make a meaningful difference in her community. That reflection inspired a simple but powerful mission: to provide handmade quilts to people facing illness, loss, hardship, and times of uncertainty. Based in Eugene, Oregon, Cynthia is a longarm quilter, quilt pattern designer, educator, and lifelong advocate for the quilting community. After spending years in high-stress management positions, she followed her passion in 2006 by launching a quilting business dedicated to creativity, craftsmanship, and helping others. Along the way, she has built lasting friendships through quilting and inspired countless people to use their talents to serve their communities. What began with a single phone call to Sacred Heart Medical Center has grown into Many Hands and Many Hearts, a nonprofit organization that brings together volunteers, donors, and community partners to create and distribute comfort quilts to those who need them most. Under Cynthia's leadership, the organization now supports hospitals, nonprofits, children and families in crisis, seniors, and other community programs throughout the year. Cynthia believes that every quilt tells a story of kindness and that every stitch represents hope. Her vision continues to inspire others to share their time, talents, and resources, proving that when many hands work together with many hearts, extraordinary things happen.
